Solvitur Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Solvitur is an app for listening to English while you walk, made for iPhone. It is developed and published by Yunus Ersoy.

In short

Solvitur does not collect or send any personal data by itself. The app has no accounts, servers, ads, analytics or tracking. Everything you do in the app is stored only on your phone. We receive something only if you send it: an email, or the optional usage summary.

What is stored on your phone

None of this is sent from your phone to us or to anyone else.

Motion & Fitness permission

Solvitur reads your steps from the iPhone's motion sensor. It does this for two things: to play the story only while you are walking, and to show how far you have walked. Step data stays on your phone. It is not used for advertising or analytics and is not shared with anyone.

You can turn the permission off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Motion & Fitness. If you do, new episodes will not open, because new episodes open only while you walk.

Internet

The audio, texts and pictures are inside the app. Solvitur works offline and does not connect to any server itself.

If you tap a link in the app (for example in About › Sources), that page opens, and that site's own privacy rules apply.

Sharing the technical log

If something goes wrong, you can share the app's technical log as text from the About screen. It is sent only if you tap "Kaydı paylaş" (Share log), and only to the person you choose. It does not contain your name, location or contact details; it shows what the app did and when.

Usage summary (optional)

To learn whether Solvitur helps people listen while walking in their first 7 days, we ask those who are willing to send us a short usage summary. The app prepares it on your phone, and you can see all of it on the About › Kullanım özeti (Usage summary) screen. It contains: the date of the summary; the versions of Solvitur and of your phone's operating system; the day you first opened Solvitur; the days in your first 7 days on which you finished an episode while walking; the number of your walks, their days and the minutes listened; the codes of the episodes you finished while walking; the number of songs you heard while walking; and the numbers of episodes you prepared, words in your deck and walks you reviewed. It does not contain your name, location, contacts or the times of your walks.

We receive the summary only if you tick the two boxes on that screen and send it yourself with your email app to destek@solviturapp.com; Solvitur never sends anything by itself. If you send it, we process your summary and the name and address shown in your email, on the basis of your explicit consent (Law No. 6698, Art. 5/1), only for this measurement. Your summary stays in our email mailbox, hosted on Hostinger's servers outside Turkey, and on our own devices; it is not shared with anyone. This means your data is transferred abroad; on the sending screen you also give separate explicit consent to this (Law No. 6698, Art. 9/6-a). Once its numbers are added to a total that cannot be linked to anyone, we delete the summary and your email, at the latest 60 days after you sent it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the same address. The full information notice (in Turkish) is on the sending screen.

What Apple processes

Things like downloading the app from the App Store are covered by Apple's own rules. If "Share With App Developers" is on in your iPhone's settings, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us in a form that does not identify you. See Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.

If you test with TestFlight

If you are testing Solvitur with Apple's TestFlight app, we see the screenshots and feedback you send from TestFlight and, if the app crashes, Apple's crash report and any comment you add; these come with your phone's model and system version. If we invited you by email, we also know your email address. We use this only to find and fix bugs. TestFlight is Apple's service: this information is held in Apple's systems and Apple's rules apply.

Backups and deletion

If iCloud Backup is on, Solvitur's data is included in your phone's backup. That backup is held by Apple, and we cannot see it.

Deleting the app removes all of its data from your phone. You can delete the copy in iCloud Backup from your iCloud settings.

If you write to us

If you send us an email, we use your email address and message only to reply to you and to fix the problem you reported. We do not use them for anything else and do not share them with anyone. We keep the conversation for at most one year after the problem is solved, and delete it sooner if you ask. Our mailbox is hosted by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.) on servers outside Turkey, so the emails you send us are stored abroad.

This website

solviturapp.com has no cookies, analytics or ads. The site runs on a server we rent from Hostinger in Germany. When you open a page, your browser connects to that server, and your IP address is processed for that connection. We do not record which IP address opened which page (we keep no access log). Only if the server fails while answering a request may that request's IP address and page end up in the error log, so that we can find the fault.

Personal data protection

The app does not send your personal data to us or to anyone else by itself. The only data we process are the emails you choose to send us, the usage summary you choose to send us, and your IP address while your browser is connected to this site. These are processed on servers outside Turkey: our mailbox at Hostinger, the site in Germany. Under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (No. 6698), Yunus Ersoy is the data controller for this data. To use your rights under Article 11 of that law (for example, to ask for your data to be deleted), please write to us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date. If a feature that sends data from your phone is ever added, we will explain it here first.
